Last Sunday’s episode of Dragon House The series saw the farewell of one of its most important characters. King Viserys Targaryen has been slowly dying since the series began, and the final scene of Episode 8 saw the character breathe his last. In those eight episodes, actor Paddy Considine brought many layers to Viserys and worked to make the character even more interesting than he was fire and blood. After King’s death, Considine took to Instagram to say goodbye to Viserys, a character he loved so much.
“Thank you for the kind words,” Considine wrote. “I can’t respond to every comment, but I would like to admit they weren’t wasted on me.” “It’s been a great adventure making a lot of new friends who will stay with me for the rest of my life. I want to thank the creators for letting me free up Viserys for me. I’ve never liked a character so much.”
Considine has spent more than half of the post acknowledging Sian Brooke, who played Viserys’ wife Aemma in the first episode. She died in childbirth, and Considine explained that her death affected everything about Viserys through the rest of his arc.
“I want to give immense love and respect to [Sian Brooke] She only came for a few days, but changed the course of my character with her brilliant performance and commitment to work, “the actor continued.” The effect stayed with me until my last improvised words. You unlocked the missing piece of the puzzle for me, and allowed my story to complete. From the moment of her death, so does Viserys. It was a love story. This is the secret that I carried with me. As much as he gets sick, he never asks for any treatment. He calmly accepts his suffering, and never forgives himself for having put his beloved wife into such torture in her last moments. Viserys was a gift. I am honored that he found me. Now, no more.”

Viserys definitely died at the end Dragon HouseEpisode 8, but given that the series is set in a world with magical creatures, there will be those who wonder if it can return. As Considine wrote in his letter, however, King Viserys is “no longer there”.
Very similar to Ned Stark in Game of thronesViserys’ death serves as the catalyst for most of the series’ events. The character needs to come out in order for the story to really begin. We’ve definitely seen another Vicerys.
